Your Donation The
Franciscan Sisters Benevolent Society programs have been designed to help stop the intergenerational cycle of violence, strengthen the development of children at risk, build stronger families, and encourage self-sufficiency and productive citizenship.
The issues addressed by the
Franciscan Sisters Benevolent Society, family violence and abuse, and child poverty, are not just physically and emotionally damaging to individuals, but cost the entire community in welfare dependence, medical expenses, addictions treatment, law enforcement, legal aid, absenteeism from work, and sometimes, long-term incarceration.
Your donation to the Atonement Home Programs is an investment in your community. Studies clearly show that every dollar invested in early intervention saves $7.00 in future social service and legal expenses.
Tax receipts are promptly issued upon receipt of a cash donation or in-kind donation and corresponding invoice or purchase receipt.
There are many ways you can give to the Franciscan
Sisters Benevolent Society:
- cash donations may be made with cash, cheques, Mastercard, Visa and American Express;
- donations designated "where needed most" will be used for either program
depending on the most current financial requirements;
- donations can be designated for use by C.A.P. Head Start or Lurana Shelter;
- donations can be designated for specific uses;
- in-kind donations of educational toys, books and school/craft supplies are appreciated. Please refer to our Wish List to find out what our immediate needs are;
- other in-kind donations. Please contact us before bringing items in as we have very limited storage space;
